  • Stevenson is a great school. My daughter attended Stevenson from 1st-5th grade. My daughter had great teachers up until her 4th grade year. The teacher that she originally had went back to teach 2nd grade. Therefore, leaving my daughter with a substitute for about 2 months. The substitute was horrible, my daughter grades dropped. As I spoke with other parents I learned that thier children grades were dropping as well. They were not getting homework sent home, they would be given tests with no study guide. My daughter felled a test however, when I went over the problems that were wrong I came to find that some of the problems that were marked wrong were actually right. Bringing my daughter's grade from a "f" to a "C ". I had a meeting with the principal as well as the substitute and was informed that my daughter's classroom will recieve a new permenant teacher within two weeks. This conversation went on for about a month and a half. Finally, I was in the process of transferring my daughter to another classroom when the school finally replaced the substitute teacher with a permenant teacher. I was very disappointed with how the principal handled this situation. Stevenson is a great school however, I do not think the principal handles parents concerns appropriatley.
