  • I go to Shelby Junior High, and I hate it. I have a health problem, so I miss a lot of school. Most of my teachers talk about me behind my back, and they think that's okay. And when I come back to school, they don't even try to help me with what I've learned. I can't help it that I miss a lot of school because of my health. But they don't care, they all think I'm skipping. I've talked to so many principals and counselors but it isn't helping. Over all, the teachers in this school only care about themselves and it's not a good thing.

  • I love this school. They have great academic programs. They are tough on rules for kids but how can you argue when there are so many students. I'm still laughing about the crazy mom who I saw yelling in the office because she thought it was "ok" for her child to use a cell phone during class. Keep your rules please, they are good for kids to learn for the real world.

  • A great place to learn and grow. Shelby prepared my kids for high school and gave them the skills they needed to continue a successful education

  • This school is full of stuck up people who live in stuck up communities. The majority of them are ignorant and probably score below the retardation line on the IQ test. Over all this school sucks.

  • I attend this school, I should know whether or not the school is strict or not. First off, in my opinion, they say rules that are going to be enforced but never are. For example, the gum issue. When teachers catch you they tell you to dispose of it, but only one of my teachers this semester has a consequence when you get caught three or more times. My other teachers just keep telling you to get rid of gum. They don't let girls wear short skirts, which is understandable, but letting boys wear their pants below their butts is? Teachers enforce it, but so many boys do it it's hard to tell them all. So, if anything at all, they are not strict enough. But otherwise, for they most part they are fair teachers, except for a few here and there, but not all teachers can be perfect.

  • Shelby Junior High School to me and others is not good at all. We have had very bad times there, the teachers are not helpfull and my over all look at that school is that they need to get it together, Or not be in that field. your working with kids here.

  • My daughter recently played basketball against Shelby Junior High, I was very disappointed in the sportsmanship displayed during the game. There was both unacceptable language, and contact . I hope that in the future these girls learn that it is not just about if you win or lose, It's how YOU play the game!!
