  • I worked at Excel School as a teacher in the '90s. I've since moved on to another job, but the work done at Excel is nothing short of magical. I've talked with some of my former students there who moved on and made good lives for themselves after the rough patch when I met them. I'm not sure what an "equivalent" teacher is (as stated in the description), but what we had were outstanding, fully licensed teachers that any school in the state would be lucky to have.

  • I have since tried to forget that year ('95), but this school gave me the opportunity to get my GED when no other school would take me; this in turn enabled me to enter the military, attain an undergrad, pursue my masters, and currently make close to a 6 figure salary as an IT Engineer. Not bad for someone the spfld metro school district deemed a "bad apple" so long ago.
