  • Congratulations to Mr Street's 4th graders, 2001 class, on their innovative project to map the world by e-mail. I was one of 250,000 who responded to this project and would have dearly loved a reply (did understand that this was obviously not an option for the students with such a response - but now time has settled maybe a response might result) - the connection being that our town was of the same size (pop. 270) as Newcastle. With that population how did you get to have a High School? Where are the 4th graders now? Perhaps one of the 2001 4th graders class would like to respond with an update on the school/town/district of Newcastle - details of the Newcastle Elementary School and where their students go on for their high school/the lat.lon. of Newcastle to enable location of Newcastle on a World Map/the agricultural or ? activities of the business community of Newcastle/the businesses in the main street of Newcastle that provide for the local population's needs/recreational activities that are available to the local residents and last but not least but an affirmation of the quality of education received at Nebraska Public School - where are your students now - degrees/trade certificates/local dignatories etc.
We will be visiting the US of A in Sept/Oct '07 and Nebraska (prairies) is on our list of must see - does Newcastle, Nebraska come into this category? If so, we will put you on our visiting list and make the connection.
    Yours sincerely
    Nola Murphy (Mrs)
PS: School Affiliation needs another category of "Other" to cate for people such as me. And yes, thought this project should be graded an A+.
