- My son is currently entering the third grade in Edison School. His experience at Edison is more neutral than anything else. The school is over populated and I don't think there are enough qualified teachers available to accomodate the needs of the students; but under the circumstances(schools' population),the school is not the worse place in the country. There are some extra curricular activities that are offered to those who register on time. The school does have an olympic size, indoor swimming pool and a decent size playgroung for the younger studets (P-K to 3rd grade)the other students only use it for phys-ed. The school's security is pretty good. Out of the four teachers he's had, only two were highly qualified. So I find it easy to say that you have a 50% chance of getting a fair and thorough education at this school. There have been three different Supervisors in the past four years and I don't know what near future holds for the administration of the school.
