  • In recent history the Worcester School has cut programs directly related to the farming local community due to faculty salary increases in a school that supported almost 700 students and enrollment is currently in the low 400's. A multi million dollar project is currently under way to expand the school for current enrollment? This was voted and approved by a small margin before the economy dropped. Taxes in this town will increase approxamately 34% within the next year, and for what? The local school board wants a state of the art facility without looking at the rampid increase of hardship and forclosures within the town as of now with the current tax increases and is making people move to other towns with less taxes. This school board does not and will not recognise what they are doing to this town and people. The faculty will benifit from this huge project with salary increases and a bigger school with even less students with parents who can barely afford to live here.WE NEED ANOTHER VOTE ! Many local farms are struggling as it is and a growing number feel that a court injunction is needed right away to stop this school board from turning our community into an unaffordable place to live and work.
