  • As a senior at Hoke this year, I must say that my past 4 years here have been phenomenal. As I prep for college, I keep in mind that I am from Hoke County and that there is nothing to be ashamed of at this school. All the faculty and staff are superb. I love this school and I will always claim "Bucktown High." JROTC program is amazing as well, as I have participated for all 4 years. The school gets better all the time.

  • I went to this schho in 1997 when it was one of the worse times. I hated this school i hate going here because i didnt feel protected. I am glad that i dont live in hoke county anymore because alot of the people that lived there at the time was hateful. There were drugs in the school and they had drug dogs. Well by reading what i have seen in the blogs it seems it has gotten better. But STD's is another issure in hoke county and teenage pregnacy, but who is to judge, as long as I am away from hoke, i an fine!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Despite the bad criticism spread around of how bad of a school it is, it's not bad at all. About 8 of us, the graduating class of 2009, are currently attending NC STATE, 5 or 6 are attending UNC and the rest are spread around In-State Universities such as ECU, UNCP, A

  • I go to Hoke and it's always fun. Anyone who says that this school is full of drugs, violence, and gang activity is pretty darn retarded. We have a few fights occasionally, but which school doesn't??? There isn't much trouble from our school at all really. JROTC program is BEASTY!!!!

  • As a military family always moving around, I was afraid of what I had heard about Hoke High. As I entered the school with my junior and my senior Principal Hagen made us feel like family. The warm reception starts with the Principal and trickles down to the staff. My children says that Hoke High was the best High School out of the four that they both attended. Class of 2008 was top notch!!! I was just upset when we had to move my son's senior year. We would not trade the experience for anything.

  • i am going on my junior year here and i think the school is okay, i wouldn't say its the best because no school is! but i will say the teachers do try to push their students, and many of the students have hard lives at home and the gang thing! ha you have to be kiding i've seen students talking about how they're in a gang but i haven't seen one yet!

  • I WAS A STUDENT OF THIS SCHOOL FROM '91-'94. I FOUND THIS SCHOOL TO BE A PLACE THAT WAS OF GREAT QUALITY. MOST OF THE TEACHERS I HAD DURING MY 4 YEARS THERE WERE ALWAYS READY TO STEP UP AND HELP OUT.
