School Description

Norwayne Middle School Focus

We have high caliber students at Norwayne and the students deserve to be challenged.  It is special for a student to be enrolled at Norwayne Middle School.  That is why it is the faculty’s responsibility to ensure that each child is safe each day and that each child comes to school in an environment conducive to learning.  We abide by the following 3 models each and every day.

1.    “Sustained Active Teaching” in every classroom.  This means that teachers will be actively involved with the students the entire block of time.

2.    Differentiation in every classroom.  Each teacher is responsible for differentiating every day in order to make the classes interesting and to meet the various learning styles of the students.

3.    Higher Level Thinking and Bloom’s Taxonomy are used by all teachers to challenge the students to be prepared for life in the 21st century.
