  • I am posting this as a parent of a very unique child with special needs that attended this school for only the first three weeks of Kindergarten. My child was forced out of this school with out my knowledge until the time came to tell him that he would not be coming back tomorrow. My son is a six year old that had some behavioral issues that seems to be challenging for some of the staff at this school so we were forced to remove him from the location and enroll him in an special school. What ever happened to my childs rights to be taught in the least restricted enviroment? Now he is being educated in the most restricted enviroment. And as a concerned parent for my childs education was a decision that had to be made over night. He went to school at Courtney one morning and was removed from the school later that afternoon without our knowledge and preparation of what was going to be of his education. Hope that all decisions that were made were made appropriate and legal! Further evaluations are in the process for my child and in the mean time he will remain in the school that he was placed. I think that the staff was not equipt to deal with a child with special needs such as mine.
