  • This school has an agenda that DOES NOT cater to the kids in the school. my son attended this school and we had to remove him and send him to a different school where he is supervised and cannot "literally" walk out of a classroom while his class is in session and somehow get off school grounds. At this point we receive a phone call from the school asking us were our son is. I said the first thing that came to mind "Isn't he with you?" We finally he was foung. AT 3 o'clock in the morning by the police. This is 1 of many many instances of poor safety and supervision. Granted this whole episode is an extreme our son has always been "difficult" and a battle every nite for homework but nothing compared to this year. Castaic middle scool passed him to the next grade inspite of the fact my son failed each and every class for the 8 trimesters he attended. and when we tried and tried to work with the principle , teachers, etc. for 5 of the trimesters to do somethig anything to prepare him for high school the school lacked the cositancy and commitment to the several plans we had all agreed on. As a last stitch effort to do something drastic before time runs out we had tol him if he didn't start trying to do at least some homework we would hold him back. They refused to do this and sent him to eighth grade knowing he doesnt have to do anything we tell him because there is no consiquences. He went from being wwII at homework time to the school having to arrest him for graffiti being picked up by the police at 3 and even more. There has been no change in his home life other than being on restriction most of the school year due to grades. Since CMS empowered him by giving him a green light to do anything a teenager could think of. He doesn't take off or vandalize property under his parents supervision just theirs.

  • It's ashame this school is ran so poorly. For the most part the teachers are unsatisfactory, the classes are overcrowded, there is no supervision or enforcement of policies and more than 20% of the population ares below socioeconomic levels. I would highly discourage sending your child to this school.
