  • Indian Lake Middle School is a great school. I am proud to be in it. Extracurricular activities are not stressed in this school, but a good number of kids that are in sports, show great commitment to it. The learning system is pretty creative and not rigid. The problems I have are with discipline. The few rotten apples in this school's basket make us appear bad. I don't know if it's my imagination, but I keep seeing the same people get in fights at my school, and they get pulled out for a few days then put back in. However, the principals are always busy at work going to many classrooms a day, reviewing the teaching methods used. Sometimes I don't agree with all of the methods used, but we still get good results, so I don't complain. Overall the school is pretty nice. Oh and the building doesn't look too bad either. This is written by an 8th grade student.

  • Principal Leadership and Staff. Very Poor

Overall Ranking and Student Achievement. Fair (Depend's on Instructor,Some very good, some very very bad)

    Teacher involvment and guidance.
Poor (Once again, depend's on the instructor. Some good, some very bad)

    Extracurricular activities and sport's. Fair

Classroom, building and playground safety. (Play ground safety poor, only 2 staff member's on watch that are usually conversating and not paying any attention) As for classroom and building safety (Moderate-considering the facility is designed to work like a Juvenile Detention Center.)

    School homework load appropriateness. Fair.

I would suggest this school as an alternative school for deliquent's,Not as a public school. The school's entire infastructure is designed to work like a JDC. Also are the safety standard's. ETC.

I unenrolled my child from the school system and placed them in Online Homeschooling. My child is thriving and having good grades for the first time.
