  • this school is the worst. i am looking into charter school for my children since my kids. started here all there has been are fights and problems. And the staff does not do their jobs. I have provided the same new contact information 8 times and they have yet to update it. My children tell me how much they hate this school everyday, not to mention how a teacher tells her 3rd grade student i hope you get expelled so i dont have to see you again! I do not recommend this school to anyone!

  • I attended Spruance in the 1960's. My attendance there was a result of desegregation. I had 3 years of quality education there. It is sad to see this school is not up to par now. It was one of the best schools in the district when I attended there.

  • unfortunately for all Philadelphia public school students the disaster started eight years ago when the superintendent of schools decided to experiment with children and sadly many students were never taught basic math or reading. you, and you know who you are should be jailed. i have four children and my youngest fell into this guinea pig experiment. thank goodness we moved to another state, one that teaches the children correctly. the Philadelphia teachers were never given the chance to teach as they did before. so sad...
