  • I loved Rother. I grew up in Redding and my father was a teacher in ESD. Rother was thought of as a bad school in my eyes, but having my step-son there the past two years was a great experience. Mrs. Bowling, Mrs. Horrocks and Mrs. Feagin were incredible. They are trully an asset to our kids. My son is not the easiest child in the world and the communication between school and parent was above and beyond.

  • I bought a home in the area before my kids were in school..Rother, Parsons, then Enterprise. A bad mistake, I am now going to travel anywhere else to take my kid to school. In the first four weeks of first grade my son(who is not a bad kid and I'm not just saying that) received two detentions from Mrs. Holman. Now I don't know if she has some quota to fill, but it is absolutely outrageous. She does not make herself available to parents or students...not a good teacher at all. The school also plays favorites with some of the parents, allowing them to do things other parents aren't allowed to. I went through that all last year.
