  • Look, I think this school is great. After graduating, then moving on to bigger things, I have nothing bad to say about it as a whole. Of course there will be little things that are bad, but no one will find a perfect school. I never went to school and worried about getting shot. That's something most others can't say. You don't get that luxury most other places. I have been all around the world and even lived in many other countries and states since graduating. One thing I learned is I had it pretty good while attending Union. I will be graduating from the Univ of Tennessee soon and I feel I was prepared very well for college at Union. So if someone has a problem with the school or how the "religious teachers" are, maybe they can travel back to Iraq or Saudi Arabia with me and we'll see how I was viewed religiously while I was there. I don't think getting my feelings hurt was the first thing on my mind.

  • This is definitely a very nice school. Most of the students are pleasant and the teachers are very kind. There are some students in this school that I would not want my children around. In fact, the small town environment makes it difficult for students to escape the bad influences of classmates. The school does not do a very good job of seperating church and state. Most teachers here are religious conservatives and don't hold back in the classroom when voicing their opinions. The surrounding area has little to know fluctuation of diversity. To live in the town and go to Union you must be able to live a simple life with opinions of very strong Christians and Republicans. If this sounds good to you, you will love Union; if you are used to a different way of living then Union is not a school I would send my children to.

  • The opportunity to engage and grow in a quality educational environment is what allows the children to be successful here at Union and when they attend college. The Science curriculum here at Union in the elementary is first class. We are pioneering adjacent districts (Clarion, C-L) on how to implement this curriculum. Union is in-servicing schools on how to improve reading scores with strategies and techniques. Union is pioneering a physical education curriculum. Students will be see the benefit as will others of a Union education.

  • Well, no matter what others say, I think this school and the teachers are great. There might be a few bad kids, but they don't like it because they don't care about their education.
