  • We were in the First Graduating class of Fairfield High School, 1968.

These were the days of muscle cars, $.30/gal gasoline, a Drive in Theater for heavy petting, and few enough rules and regulations. Viet-Nam was hot, Travis AFB was "busy".

We came as Sophomores and were the upper class men for 3 years. We went to Disneyland for our Graduation Party. The school was OK, if only just beginning. There were no fancy advanced classes, just the basics.

The 60's sexual revolution was in full swing, just 40 miles away. It was much further then. No one would even think of commuting to the City from Fairfield, and Suisun was a shanty town by the water's edge. Fairfield High School stood by itself in a field, way out of town, then. Now it's buried in subdivisions.

It was a preferable alternative to Armijo High School at the time. Probably still is. I have good memories of those years. Some lifelong friends have resulted.
