  • My daughter is in the applied academics dept know as special ed. I would not have her in any other school. This school has been so good to her. She loves her school, she can't wait to see her friends and teachers (one she calls Happy) every day. She is in Special Olympics which is a big part of her life. RL Turner is helping her learn life skills which will help her when she graduates and enters into the working world. Students tell me how they love working in the applied classes and how much they like and love my daughter. As a parent of a child, who is now a woman but has the attude of a young lady. You just can't ask for anything more. GO LIONS!

  • No school in the state has academies like Bio-Med and AMAT. WOW the students in theses academies come out with experiences most college kids never get the opportunity to do. The AMAT students are wizards on computers not just working on them but if they can not get a program to do what they want they write the code to get what they want. Computer mastery is just the beginning they have a studio that has all the makings of channel 4 news from which they run a cable station, and a radio station. AMAT students have been invited to film fest such as Sundance and last year had a student get a short film shown at two major showings. Bio-Med students do rations in Hospitals, with Vets. or Pharmacist depending on their area of study. Many Bio-Med students leave high school with their EMT license.
