  • Corner High School could be a Very good school if a few problems were corrected. Such as:
The dipping problem. There are so many young and old students who misuse the school and turn it into a huge spit cup. It's disrespectful and disgusting for all of the other respectful students.
Another issue is the teachers who disregard certain students because of their "rep". Even when they are actually really intelligent and work oriented but just don't want to try because the teacher is rude and arogant.
My last concern is that once in the beautiful new Corner high School it will be in the ruins before we can blink because of disrespectful people and teachers who could care less. I do not want to bash teachers or all of the students but this is a serious issue that I witness every day as I pass in and out of the hallways.

  • My family members have been attending Corner since the 40's. Without a doubt this school exhibits more "click" metality than any I have seen. If are not one of the chosen few,you are out ! This school has had many outstanding athletes and scholars that did not get the recognigtion or support they deserved. They do NOT address the needs of a special needs children well at all. If you have a choice, DO NOT send your child to Corner.

  • the school is fine just loose Mr. Manning. He is a very poor principal who wont take any time with certain students that need the most help instead he tries to send them away to some other people for help.

  • The school is great in many ways, but a few things that need to be upgraded/more thought out are:

    1. Lunch Room- Needs another set of stairs. New line opened. Better food. Some of the food is just disgusting and we need more choice.

    2. The Principle- He's lazy. Sits in his office all day. The old principle walked the halls making sure everyone was in class and doing what they were suppose to. He just does what he has to to keep the job and nothing else. He is horrible at his job.

    3. Teachers- Some teachers are good and they teach their lesson the way it is meant to be taught and the entire class understands it. The best teachers do that and throw a little bit of fun into their class making it interactive and making learning fun. Yet, you have some teachers that will just hand you a book, say read it, and then expect you to learn from the book without any explaining what so ever and then give us questions about it. Your a teacher. Therefore, do your job and TEACH. Also, having 1600 points at the end of the first 4 and a half weeks is way too much work. Telling us we have a 3 page research paper when theres a huge track meet at County the next day and then expecting us to have it Friday is INSANE. Also, if you need to explain what you want in the research paper not just say give me one on this. We are just high school students for some of you teachers that think giving us hard college work will make us smarter or whatever. No it will not. We need work that progressing at a good pace into harder and harder as the year goes on... hence the word learning. Not forcing our brains to explode from overload of stress and over work. Corner High School needs a lot of work.

  • Corner will be so much better when they get their new biulding but even without the new building it is a great school where you can have friends who are truly friends and learn some but have fun too. they actually have a balance with the fun and learning. it's also an ok environment. ;-)

  • corner is a good school. it might not look the best or even have some of the best teachers but if you leave you will really miss it and want to go back. you can make the best of your time there and leave with some good memories. So have fun, live life and take in every moment you can.

  • As soon as Corner gets their new building, it will be all they need.
