(5 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - My child attends elementary school here and we love it. His teacher always takes the time to keep us updated on his grades and activities in class. My child is constantly being creatively challenged both inside and outside of the classroom by projects given by his teacher. All of the teachers and staff are very helpful and friendly. The principal also takes a hands on roll in the school environment. Whenever I drop off, pick up, or attend a scheduled afterschool activity she makes it a point to talk to the parents and develop relationships with the children. I am writing this in response to the posting about the "rotten kids" who's "parent's don't care". Wow. This is truly sad when an adult generalizes a whole school as "animals" because they are angry at some bad apples. I truly feel sorry for you.

(1 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - This school is a joke. They believe in passing students just for showing up, not for actually learning anything. The kids there are mean, foul-mouthed bullies, and the teachers/staff do not care. Inept teaching, nasty kids, and not much learning are what you'll get at Walzem. These kids are rotten. They steal flowers out of yards, cuss at each other and at adults with no regard, throw their trash in yards and streets, and are constantly acting like animals as they walk home. Their parents don't care, so they don't care. This school has also been deemed "academically acceptable," which means nothing more than "acceptable." If you're looking for an "academically exceptional" school, this is NOT it.
