  • I have found the PISD schools' quality to have gradually declined since our children were first enrolled in this school system in 2000 when we moved back to the Austin area. This has proven to be very unfortunate because the Pflugerville schools are what originally drew us to this area of Travis County. We have found most of the teachers to be very professional; however the PISD administrative staff leave a lot to be desired in terms of their commitment to providing a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment. We are fortunate that we will be able to move our children to the Round Rock ISD or into a private school setting within the next year. My rating of PISD has decreased from around 5.0 back in 2000 to a dismal 1 today.
