  • Hello,
I'm a 7th grade student at Hatton High School.I have gone to the Hatton schools since kindergarten.I love Hatton High School and everything about it.The teachers at Hatton are among the best in world, atleast in my eyes. The students at my school are the friendliest people I have ever met.It seems as if no one is ever left out.My High school accepts new people of many different cultures, and the education is great.I have been a straight A student in the Beta club since first grade.Hatton High School has the best test scores in the county.A lot better than the others. My school offers plenty of after school activities such as:Sports,Band,FFA,FFCLA,and many more.We accept new students from any school, and they are accepted as just another member of the crowd. No grudges are held at Hatton. The principal Larry Hancock keeps the school under control all of the time.We offer great disipline such as:ISS,Alternative schools, and much more. But don't worry with a principal as great as ours we never have to use them.Right now the biggest issue at the school in the Lawrence County School Consolidation Policy. The Lawrence County School Board is trying to conjoin all of the Lawrence county schools only leaving to HUGE schools. We disagree with this but it's not us that decide how to handle it.They want to shut down Hatton, creating a new school called:West Lawrence High School. Most of the students and teachers believe that there are many other ways to go about this and don't want this to happen.I believe Hatton is the best school around, much better than the others!
