  • Oakton is a wonderful school with excellent teachers, creative students and a close-knit community. The PTA sponsors many activities both during and after school. Fifth and Sixth Grade students are leading a Mock Debate with students playing the roles of McCain, Obama, reporters, and Secret Service Agents. All students will vote in the Mock Election on October 30th. The first grade has an Edible Garden and good outdoor education program. As part of the Virginia history curriculum, the fourth grade visits Jamestown and also hosts a Colonial Day.
