  • Smiths Station High was a decent school when I first arrived as a freshman. State mandate and admin changes turned the school on its head in 2001, it has been recovering ever since. This is another school that fell victim to the overly sensationalized fears of incompetent parents. As of 2003 the school was on the road to recovery, the lesson learned was that schools are meant to teach, not impose rules upon the youth. I can only hope that things have continued to get better.
