  • Well I have a soft spot for the school, I was a member of the very first grad class. I went to Wilmington Jr. for two years then transferred as it was much closer to my home. It was a great year there and i have many good memories so i hope the school has many more great years and i hope the best for the teachers and staff. Mike Le Master.

  • I was in the first class that went all the way from 7th until graduation of the 9th grade at Carnegie. We started there in 1966 and left there summer of 1969.
It was the greatest school the teachers were great and the friends were unforgetable.

Anyone know if they have a reunion there?

  • The school activities are most noteworthy about this school, located approximately 20 minutes south of Los Angeles. At one time, this school was better known as Carnegie Junior High School. Aside from the importance of academics, Carnegie Junior High School was best known for producing the world's best junior high school drill team and are known worldwide. So much can be said for its quality of academics, however; many of the teachers heavily lacked the ability to handle the kind of predominant student population that the school had: working class, with an heir of social ineptitude that required the compassion of good quality teachers.
