  • CLES does not care whether they teach the children or not. They are only there for the paycheck, and the prestige which they believe working at CLES gives to them. I know for a fact that my child has been neglected throughout the Kindergarten experience at CLES. Due to the conditions which I have observed in regards to my child, I can safely bet mine is not the only one. I have tried my hardest to work with them. Yet, they are above needing help, following state guidelines, and the law. They believe that they are a law among themselves. No child should have to suffer in Kindergarten as my child has. It is beyond unacceptable and outright neglect. Our children deserve to know they are safe in their learning environment. They are not at CLES. They are anything but safe and taken care of. After my experience this year with certain individuals, I would not recommend CLES. Don't get me wrong, there are good teachers. Yet, it all depends on your luck of the draw.

  • I need to make it clear that CLE does not cater to the children of the "rich and famous" as blogged by one parent. This person stated that CLE will cater to the special needs of children from the right zip code. Well my child with special needs is from that so called zip code and CLE has been anything but accommodating. Basically, if you have a special needs child CLE is not the place for your child. My son is profoundly dyslexic and I have fought with every fiber of my being for him to get the help he is legally entitled to, I have fought for him since the second month of Kindergarten. My husband and I offered to give CLE school $20,000 to train their teachers to work with dyslexic and struggling readers. They refused our money and tried to bully and intimidate us into "letting them handle his special needs". They told us we needed to "lower our expectations". After two years of special ed he still could not read or write. I withdrew him last year and spent $20,000 educating him at a school in Baltimore. During that time I trained to teach dyslexic and struggling readers. I was hired at the school my son attended. This is one of the top ten schools for dyslexic children in the country . I have volunteered my services at CLE, offering to tutor any struggling reader for free, and again I am told "they don't need my help". My son also is well below grade level in math, but they tell me he is not far enough behind to "qualify" for special ed in math, therefore, I come to the school and teach him math myself. This is not a good place for "any" child, correct zip code or not, who does not learn like the other children who perform at the 50th percentile.
