  • Baraboo Senior High was a welcoming place and having a job at The Al Ringling Theatre helped.Mr.and Mrs.Dippel gave their time and energy for students who enjoy theater and want to belong to productive ventures like high school drama or for students who want to be part of the thespian's world and not sports. It is rare that such a group of Christians assembles at the secondary level in public schools and Baraboo High School's Drama Club from 1979-1989 can be proud of the honor it pays to itself. I have struggled as a writer with even Nietzsche saying God is dead(as Tom Wolfe spoke of in Esquire in 1991)just in some of the cliques and values held by people who I may even hold nominally as peers outside of the Baraboo High School Drama Club.
