I had no idea their were reviews for Riverside Drive. My twenty year old graduated from Riverside and my fourteen year old also. Now My six year old girl is in first grade at Riverside Drive. My opinion of this school? Its a great school all around. I remember the principal when my twenty year old went to Riverside. What a gentleman and a fine human being. Never in too much of a hurry for anyone, and he genuinely loved the children. I see a new principal in town and you know what? She is on the ball, esp in terms of security. The Principal and the assistant principle take the security of the children very very seriously. This gives me a great comfort. In the mornings they got their walkie talkies in tow and they make sure the place is locked down. Sometimes in past years I saw that security was a little lack esp the gate at the west entrance . Well no more. These two are everywhere all the time. Very alert and respectful of everyone. They don't talk so much because they seem to have a million things on their plate. I for one appreciate them. The level of parent involvement has not changed over the years. The parents are way involved as they always have been through the years. My child's first grade teacher is pure light. A truly good woman who is never ever too busy to listen to a child. I need to mention a couple other teachers also.
