  • My son is in K.Very bad experience. The school is filthy, the teacher is totally unmotivated and inexperienced. I feel like my son got into the worst class, this class feels like a dumping ground. The principle is highly uncooperative.

  • My child will be a 5th grader in the fall. We couldn't have been happier for elementary school. My older child went through a prestigious private school the whole way, and I can say with certainty that my younger has received a better education in most areas at Sherman Oaks. And with the test scores and high level learning and top reputation of the school, my child will have the choice of the best middle schools (will probably go private, but have been hearing great things about a couple public ones). Research the school for the specifics, but check it out before applying elsewhere, I wish I had. We have seen a couple of principals, but my child really likes this one, and the teachers and parents (who fund the in-school extras like art, music, etc.) are focussed on providing a premium education for all the kids, and what my kid has learned has blown me and my husband away. And my kid likes going to school. A great part is all the functions celebrating the kids, teachers, and parents. From my experience, it's a top school, of all area schools. We feel we lucked out.
