  • i would just like to say that i attended union ave elem i started off from kinder all the way to the 5th grade and i would just like to say i loved this school so much my favorite teacher was mrs. gwen johnson theres no one like her and her husband pablo may she rest in peace ......i love you mrs. johnson, frm: cynthia p.

  • I attended Union Ave. during the years 1981-1984. The neighborhood was a little rough, but I have nothing but fond memories of my classmates and teachers. Mr. Richard Strauss, you made 5th grade great! Thanks for making us memorize those Shel Silverstein poems and act them out in class. Maybe it inspired someone to go into the arts. I ended up becoming a lawyer, and I thank my school for helping me achieve. Thanks again.
