My son attend this public school ,and also the after school program, On Wednesday 10.25.06, my child was attended the program, during the program my 11yr old son tried to strangle his self with a string that is used for a name badge, I was called from the afterschool program to pick up my child and was told that just that he was having a bad day, I had taken my son to the Dr, the following morning after I send him to school , At that time i was called and told that I needed to pick him up until he had a medical clearance because of the previous incedent. I had taken him to the Dr and gotten the medical release for him to return. Asking the school nurse if the school believe that he was in such why didn't the call the BEST team of the Boston Police first and then myself to make me aware of where I needed to meet. I was told that because my son did not have mass health so the didnt call anyone. My son is having some issues that need to be address by counseling and I feel that because the school did not handle it properly when it first happen they are trying to reverse the blame. I was just informed to day they were going to call the Department Of Social Service on me when they should be calling on themselves for just sending him home
