Description

In this lesson, students will paste pictures of people on a mural to put up in the classroom. The people should illustrate different occupations such as doctor, policeman, fireman, nurse, and other workers.

This lesson can be done as an art project or social studies project.

Goals

Students will learn:
About different occupations

Materials Needed

Book about occupations
Pictures of people who have different occupations
Large amount of paper to make a mural
Tape to tape up the mural on the wall
Glue sticks to paste pictures onto the mural

Procedure

First, you can read a book to the students about different occupations.

Then, you can give the students pictures of people who have different occupations and have them paste pictures on the mural.

After that, you can write the name of each occupation under the pictures.

Grading

You can reward the students on how well they cooperated with each other.
