School Description

Sand Hill School at Children’s Health Council is a private school in Palo Alto offering a personalized learning environment for children who are bright but who are struggling in a conventional classroom.  The school is designed to restore a child’s sparkle for school and learning.  Students learn new skills not explicitly taught in a mainstream environment and are thus prepared to make a successful transition to a traditional classroom.   Grades K-3.  Each classroom has a maximum of 12 students with 2 teachers and a rich resource of Children’s Health Council specialists.  Children may or may not have a diagnosis.  Some children are diagnosed with ADHD, learning disabilities or a high-functioning form of autism.
