Description

You will show the students the different shapes such as circle, triangle, square, and rectangle. Then, you can give them the worksheet I've included in this lesson.

To learn about the basic shapes
To match the basic shapes

Materials Needed

Worksheet
Pencil
Eraser

Procedure

First you will show the students the basic shapes (circle, triangle, square, and rectangle) and talk about the differences such as no sides and how many sides. After that, you will pass out the worksheet and have the students draw a line from one figure to the matching figure. Then, you will pick up their worksheets so you can see how they did.

Alternate Lesson: You can draw the shapes and have the students match the words to the shapes. Worksheet on Basic Shapes

Directions: Draw a line from one shape to the same shape in the next column.

Grading
