Art
- Color Book
- Students will find different pictures that show different colors. For example, they will look for pictures that show red and glue them to the page that has the word red at the top. Each page will have a different color. Then, they will make a book.
- Dyed Flower Garden
- In this lesson, you will teach students to create a dyed flower garden, discuss how plants grow and read Eric Carle's "Tiny Seed."
- Falling Leaves
- In this lesson, students will paint over leaves to create a painting of falling leaves.
- Farm Pictures
- Students will paint a farm and glue pictures of farm animals on their pictures. Students will need to let the paint dry first before they can glue on the pictures of farm animals.
- Finger Painted Christmas Trees
- Students will have green finger paint to make Christmas trees. They will also use red finger paint and make decorations on the tree and presents below the tree.
- Forest Animals
- Students will draw a forest on their white paper and glue pictures of animals that roam in the forest.
- Hand Painted Turkeys
- Students will have brown finger paint so they can place their right hand in the paint and place it on finger paint paper. Then, they will place their left hand in the paint and on the paper. They will make turkeys, green grass, and a blue sky.
- I Am Special
- In this lesson, students will be taught that they each have qualities that make them special in their own way.
- Learning About Leaves
- In this lesson, you will take the students on a trip outside to collect different kinds of leaves. Then, you will return to the classroom and do their art project.
- Making Christmas Cards
- In this lesson, students will learn to make Christmas cards for their parents.
This lesson plan can also be for elementary students Grades 1 to 5.
- Making Santas
- Students will make Santas for this lesson. This lesson can be done in December for Christmas.
- Making Turkeys
- This lesson plan can be used in November for Thanksgiving. Students will make turkeys.
- Making Valentine's Day Cards
- Students will make Valentine's Day cards.
- Ocean Pictures
- Students will make pictures of the ocean and then glue pictures of different types of animals found in the ocean.
- Play Dough Farm Animals
- Students will make farm animals out of play dough.
- Turkey Feathers - Counting
- Students will have turkey patterns and feathers. They will place the correct number of feathers on the turkey that is written below each turkey. Then, they can color the turkeys.
This lesson can be done during math or art.

- Health Bookmarks
- This lesson plan is learning about health. Students will also make bookmarks that relate to health.

History
- Long, Long, Ago
- Children will learn that the world has not always been as it is today by discovering things they use in every day life that were not available long ago. They'll use reasoning and imagination to think of ways to live without those items and experiment with pioneer life.
- Thanksgiving Menu
- This activity allows students to be imaginative and do some creative writing, while learning about history by creating a menu for the first thanksgiving.

- Alphabetizing Animals
- Students will have animal words that they will put in alphabetical order. The words are for the first seven letters of the alphabet. I have included the worksheet for this lesson.
- Alphabetizing Animals - Part Three
- Students will have animal words that they will put in alphabetical order. The words are for the letters O through Z. I have included the worksheet for this lesson.
- Alphabetizing Animals - Part Two
- Students will have animal words that they will put in alphabetical order. The words are for the letters H through N of the alphabet. I have included the worksheet for this lesson.
- Beginning Letters
- Students will have a worksheet where they will circle the words in the list that start with the same letters.
- Beginning Sounds
- In this lesson, students will have a worksheet where they will write down a word from the list that begins with the same sound as the word on the worksheet.
- Ending Letters
- Students will have a worksheet where they will circle the words in the list that end with the same letters.
- Learning About Syllables
- This lesson is on syllables. Students will have a worksheet where they will write down how many syllables each word has.
- Learning About Vowels - Part One
- This lesson is on teaching the students vowels. They will have a worksheet where they will circle vowels.
- Learning About Vowels - Part Two
- This lesson is on teaching the students about vowels. They will have a worksheet where they will fill in the missing vowels.
- Listening to Directions
- In this lesson, you will hide objects in the room and have students locate them by the directions you give them.
- Sorting Words
- Students will sort out the words that rhyme and group them.
- Words That Rhyme
- Students will have a worksheet where they will circle the words in each row that rhyme.

- Beginning Math - Addition
- This lesson plan consists of beginning addition problems for kindergarten students.
- Beginning Math - Subtraction
- This lesson plan consists of beginning subtraction problems for kindergarten students.
- Drawing Shapes
- In this lesson, the students will have a worksheet where they will draw the shape beside the word.
- Finding the Missing Numbers and Sequencing
- Students will have two worksheets.
Worksheet One - Students will put the numbers from 1 to 25 in order.
Worksheet Two - Students will find the missing numbers.
- Learning Numbers
- This lesson plan is on teaching numbers to kindergarten children and helping them to count by ones, fives, and tens. I have suggestions that you can do with the students.
- Matching Numbers to Words
- This lesson will have a worksheet for students to match numbers to the words.
- Numbers - Before and After
- This worksheet has two parts. Part One - Students will write a number that comes after a given number. Part Two - Students will write a number that comes before a given number.
- Open and Closed Shapes
- Students will have a worksheet where they can match the beginning shape with the shape in the same row. They need to look for the shape where the opening is on the same side, or if the shape doesn't have an opening.
This lesson can be done with first grade students, too.
- Personalizing Shapes
- This lesson is about shapes and personalizing them so that students can learn the shapes. For example, you can write a sentence or two about each shape. These sentences can be in first person point of view as if the shape was talking.

- Developing Tactile Skills
- This lesson is about developing tactile skills. You will gather items and put them in a sack. You will use these items in the exercise that I have included in this lesson.
- I'm Thankful For...
- Students will write down what they are thankful for, and then they will draw a picture of the items they wrote on their list. They can also color their picture.
This can also be for first through fifth grade students.
- Sequencing - Days and Months
- In this lesson, students will have two worksheets.
The first worksheet - Students will put the days of the weeks in order.
The second worksheet - Students will put the months of the year in order.
- Telling Time
- One of the hardest activities for a pre-school student is learning to tell time. This activity allows for students to learn to tell time on a standard clock by letting them use their arms and bodies. This type of kinestetic learning will allow the students to learn to tell time easier and quicker.

- Capital Letters and Small Letters
- For this lesson, students will write the small letter that goes with the capital letter.
- Finding the Missing Letters and Sequencing
- Students will have two worksheets.
Worksheet One - Students will find the missing letters.
Worksheet Two - Students will put the letters of the alphabet in order. I have written the letters on their worksheet, but they are out of order.
- Learning Letters
- This lesson plan is on teaching kindergarten children the alphabet. I will give different suggestions on how to teach students the alphabet.
- Learning the Alphabet
- Students will write the letter that comes after each given letter.
- Locating Words
- Students will learn to find words in an article from a word list. They will also write the words that are on the list.

- In this lesson, you will talk about three different types of trees and there uses. Then you will show the children how to create leaf rubbings.

- Students will learn about the different community helpers.

- In this lesson, students will learn about firemen.
- Learning About Occupations
- In this lesson, students will paste pictures of people on a mural to put up in the classroom. The people should illustrate different occupations such as doctor, policeman, fireman, nurse, and other workers.
This lesson can be done as an art project or social studies project.
- Learning About Writers
- In this lesson, you can have a published writer visit the classroom and discuss writing.
- Learning to Share
- This lesson is on teaching students to share.
- The American Flag
- To teach students the what the stars and stripes on the American flag represent.

- Rhyming Words
- This lesson is on teaching words that rhyme. By learning words that rhyme, students can say them easier and can also learn to spell them easier.
