Denver Schools

The Denver Public Schools serves numerous Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, High Schools, and Charter Schools. There are also magnet schools such as Denver School of the Arts. The students enrolled in the Denver schools are American Indian, Asian, black, Hispanic, and White. Most of the students represent the Hispanic group. There are almost an equal number of blacks and whites enrolled in the Denver schools. The American Indian has the least number of students. Denver also has an independent, coeducational university. The University of Denver has an equal number of undergraduate and graduate programs. The Denver Public Schools also provides services for the Balarat Program, which has an outdoor education, western history, and environmental studies program in the mountains located northwest of Boulder. Denver also has Roman Catholic, Jewish, and health science institutions for students who prefer these types of schools. They also have schools in the surrounding areas of Denver where students can go to in order to increase their educational skills.
