- Oak Ridge Military Academy has unfortunately strayed away from its tradition. Their administrators are uncertified nor have they ever been educators. There have been escalated incidents with sexual assault in the dorm rooms as well as drugs. The school commandants have also had problems with being to aggressive with the students. This school has really gone downhill the past few years.

(Rating: 4 / 5) Report As Inappropriate - In response the parent comment below, I am unsure of where they get their information. The claim that the school's administrators are "uncertified" simply isn't true. The school's president holds an EdD in education and has taught numerous classes in several military schools. The Dean, as it says on the website, taught history at the school for nine years before becoming the Dean and is currently working on a PhD in Educational Leadership. I don't know how you could be more "qualified" to supervise a school than that. The Admissions Director is a former middle school teacher. The school actually does random testing for drugs, which is more than most private schools do, and students who test positive are promptly dismissed, which is more than most public (and many private) schools do. Honestly, this sounds more like a disgruntled parent than an objective review.
