- My son is currently enrolled at Summit. I have been more then impressed with every single aspect of the school. The staff all seem to strike the perfect balance between soft/caring and firm in their efforts to teach the students personal responsibility. Unlike most boarding schools of this type, most of the kids are actually happy to be there. The kids get to go into town a lot, so there is a lot of stimulation. Parents are required to be pretty involved in everything. My educational consultant recommended this along with 4 other schools and after touring, etc, this school appeared magnitudes better. Somewhat higher in cost, but worth every penny.

(Rating: 1 / 5) Report As Inappropriate - No student is happy to be there. Students who have no problem expressing this (and therefore dealing with the repercussions of their therapist and team staff) aren't allowed to even talk to or sit by potential parents/students. It's not a place for students who don't fit into the old-fashioned and cookie cutter belief system and therapeutic methods. They teach students through fear, psychic abuse and manipulation.
