  • I went to pueblo west high. I personally know that this school does not take the action it should. My brother was jumped at a school dance and they did nothing about it. As the school says as soon as we step on their property we follow their rules. Well if the kids to follow their rules they need to bring punishment they say there going to. DON'T let kids off with a slap on the wrist everytime.

  • This school needs to review their policy regarding fighting in school. My son was confronted by another student who punched my son in the hallway of the school. The student punched my son in the face twice and in the stomach. The student walked up to my son and threaten to beat him up. My son told this person he was not going to hit him back. My son did not want to have any negative marks on his record. My son is an A/B student and in the ROTC program. He wants to graduate w/honors and go into the military. We addressed the Assistant Principal w/this issue, he insists on giving my son Saturday detention. Even though my son had witnesses and even a substitute teacher viewed the assault. Who didn't even inform the principal that day. There was no respect given to our family regarding this situation. We were told by the Assistant Principal, that the rules in their school are different from the rules outside. When our child walks into their school he is under their rules. That we have no rights regarding our son while he is in their school. The leadership in this school is ruining good students and punishing them for those students who exhibit terrible behavior. This does not send a good message to good students. This is a very unfair policy and should be implemented more carefully.
