  • Just last weekend, my Uncle William Joseph Tynan died at the age of 89. On my Facebook you will see the results of a life commited to his Country (Medic in WWII), went on to commit his life to 'troubled youth' at Boy's Town. As part of this commitment to youth, this 6'8" giant of a man took his Vows as a Catholic Brother, working with 'at risk kids' in Southern California. In retirement and despite his own illnesses, my Uncle Billy put in thousands of hours as a volunteer to the local Veterans hospital. While this true citizen/servant may never had walked your halls and he did have his own underdiagnosed learning/cognitive problens, he never gave up! I simply hope this inspires your teahers and the administrators never give up on the challenges of their critically (Veteran's status) important place in the world. I would like to request and I will pay for a 'spare' year book as a living tribute to this gentle giant! (see Denver Post obit Wm Joseph Tynan)
