  • I have had my children all go to this school and would grade it an A overall. My children would not only spend time there when need be, attending class, but also go back to enjoy after school activities because they wanted to. The staff for the most part are very professional and caring. 4 of my children have completed grade 12 there and I have one more who will finish next year. Silex High School may not be able to offer as much as all large schools can that are funded by larger cities but they rate an A in my book for teaching, caring and support of my children.

  • For being a small school, silex is, OK.
but i somtimes have to sit back and think about and we dont have money because were a small school, so our classes and lunches and such are at a poor level.i would like to see more after school programs at our school, and also more of a varitiy of classes, its sad when all you have is math 1, math 2.....etc etc etc.

  • I would not recommend this school to any one. The staff (teachers, principal) is very unorganized and is not fair. I have had various problems at this school. Teachers have lost my child's homework on several occasions which resulted in a failing grade sometimes. Also myself as well as other parents feel that the "staff" is the cause of many conflicts between students and allow certain unhealthy acts of verbal abuse to go on in there classroom. I would defiantly refer you to a school in another district. I was there a year and we are now paying a tuition to send my children else where.
