  • Ben L Smith High, has had some rough times but is improving. The teachers really care and if you show even the smallest interest in your future or you have potential they try to motivate and inspire you to the fullest, regardless of you ethnicity latino, black, white or asian. The teachers recommend you for all types of programs that they think will help to develop your leadership skills. I have great respect for the teachers at Smith High, because they take on challenges many could not. They have a high male teacher ratio which is good for the male role model issues, many of the disciplinary issues the school faces are typically with the males. They added some new curriculum choices for the kids which has really taken off and the kids seem to be increasing in their awareness of their future. I was a student here before moving to a different high school my junior year and if the teachers could have just followed me to my new school just the expectation of greatness they have of you makes you want to try harder and do better. I currently attend Southern Guilford and the teachers are horrible here!
