  • I apologize for the GOOBER post... Too bad you can't go back and edit your comments... But parents need to chill and work toward peace in the school... not give fuel for their kids to latch onto inappropriate behavior and have bad attitudes toward their teachers and school leaders. (Yes... those kids DO have raging hormones... it's tough enough for the school to help them through this time in school without having parents fan the flames.)

  • Cane River seems like an excellent educational institution. Don't let those students use "outside phone lines" unless a clear emergency presents itself. Kids can be taught where to draw appropriate boundaries if they are dealt with in a respectful manner.

  • Looks like someone needs more education... I'd be "imbarassed" if I ONLY KNEW HOW TO WRITE IN ALL CAPS AND BERATE SCHOOL POLICIES AND HAD NO BETTER GRAMMAR THAN THIS GOOBER! No wonder rural NC schools get a bad rap from urban schools with parents like that!

  • FIRST OF ALL, ALL STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE AN OUTSIDE TELEPHONE LINE TO USE AT THEIR OWN DISCRETION WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY FOR IT!NEXT THING IS THAT IF A PARENT NEEDS TO CONTACT THEIR OWN CHILD FOR AN IMPORTANT REASON THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO SO WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT THEIR CHILD GETTING GRIPED OUT OR CALLED DOWN FOR IT.! TEACHERS THAT DECIDE TO PUNISH THE WHOLE CLASS TO MAKE AN EXAMPLE OF SOMETHING DONE WRONG BY ONE OR TWO STUDENTS IS GOING A BIT TOO FAR . IF TEACHER KNOWS WHO HAS DONE WRONG THEN PUNISH THEM. DON'T MAKE THE WHOLE CLASS PAY FOR IT,THEY HATE MUCH OTHER IMPORTANT SCHOOL CLASSES AND HOMEWORK TO DO!KIDS HAVE A HARD ENOUGH TIME JUST DEALING WITH ALL THE OTHER CHANGES GOING ON WHETHER IT BE AT SCHOOL ,HOME OR JUST CRAZY HORMONES RAGING BACK & FORTH!LAY OFF THESE GUYS AND LET THEM STRETCH THERE MINDS A LITTLE BIT. REMEMBER YOU WERE ONCE A TEENAGER AT ONE TIME TOO!AS FOR THE FUND RAISERS FOR SCHOOL ,THERE SHOULD BE A LETTER SENT HOME EXPLAINING WHAT & WHO ITS FOR ,REMEMBER WE DON'T HAVE MONEY TREES GROWING IN THE BACK YARD SOMEWHERE. THE SCHOOL SUPPLIES ARE ENOUGH TO BREAK THE BANK LET ALONE IF YOU DON'T QUALIFY FOR REDUCED OR BY CHANCE FREE LUNCHES. ALSO IF A CHILD HAS TO GO TO THE BATHROOM THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO SO WITHOUT HAVING TO FILL A HALL PASS OUT,BECAUSE IF ITS AN EMERGENCY ITS USUALLY TOO LATE AND THERE THEY ARE IMBARASSED OVER HAVING AN ACCIDENT AND GETTING TEASED BY OTHERS FOR IT. AS FOR PARENTS NOT BEING ABLE TO SMOKE IN THEIR OWN CAR OR IN THE FRESH AIR THAT IS THE MOST APPALLING THING IV EVER HEARD OF!ITS AS BAD AS HAVING GAS AND AFRAID OF LETTING IT OUT BECAUSE SOMEONE MAY BE OFFENDED BY IT.BESIDES CHILDREN SEE IT AT HOME OR IN PUBLIC AT SOME POINT IN TIME,AND IF YOUR FAR ENOUGH AWAY ITS NOT GOING TO AFFECT THEM. REALLY IF YOU STOP AND THINK ABOUT IT THE AIR POLLUTION FROM CARS,TRUCKS , PLANTS AND POLLEN ITS NOT ANY DIFFERENT! I HOPE WHEN YOU READ THIS YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT HAS BEEN SAID YOU WILL PRAY ABOUT AND LET GOD HAVE PART IN YOUR DECISION BEFORE YOU GO MAKING A BUNCH OF NONSENSE RULES FOR KIDS AND PARENTS AND MAYBE EVEN THE TEACHERS.THEY HAVE A HARD ENOUGH TIME JUST TEACHING OUR CHILDREN THE NORMAL CURRICULUM WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT ALL THE REST OF THIS MESS!
