  • This school is a disgrace! The student shouldn't have switched seats granted. but at the same time, she did what was right. she came forward with the information immediately. Shame on the chaperons for not doing their duty to watch and keep an eye on the kids. apparently movies were more important to them. If this incident is any reflection of the school and its values do not send your kids here! The (...) should be ashamed of her comments and remarks thus far. Preventing the student from attending prom is not "protocol." I am in full support of the parents seeking legal action! These incidents can not be tolerated. what message are we sending our kids?

  • Are you insane for punishing that girl? What did she do that would warrant punishment? Not tell the bus driver that, hey these two kids back here are going at it? What is wrong with you? Reverse this decision and apologize to her and her family. And if they don't, people don't send your kids here. It's Dayton Crazy Academy not Dayton View Academy.

  • To the Principal and other administrative staff at Dayton View Academy: Please revoke the reporting student's punishment. This punishment only serves to teach students that when they witness behaviors such as in this case, they should not report it for fear of being punished themselves. If the reporting student did in fact violate a rule when switching seats on her bus, isn't there a policy in place with set consequences for minor violations like that? My children's school has a "warnings" system for minor bus infractions. You should punish according to the violation. This girl did the right thing in reporting to her mother. Please allow the reporting student to attend her Prom. Thank you, A Concerned Parent

  • Why would you punish a girl for doing what is right? I am sure she had a very hard time doing what she did, but at least she stood up and did what was right! I think the teachers should be punished! They should have been sitting split up on the bus, not all sitting up front! WAKE UP! Do what's right! Now you need to step up like this young girl did!

  • poor decisions = poor values, rethink your decisions for punishment of reporting a lewd act, seriously?

  • I am writing in response to an article where a girl is being punished for reporting students having (...) while the chaperons were watching tv! You are dead wrong in your decision and I want you to know I also posted such on Face Book! If you carry this through,I hope no other student reports a thing because of your punishing them! This is unprofessional and in extreme poor taste! If I were the parents I would pull my children from your school!
