  • Though I believe I received a good education from this school, it is not very diverse nor does it place enough emphasis on academic extracurricular opportunities. Most of the school's attention is focused on the football team rather than the marching band, FFA or other activities on the school's campus. I feel that if you want your child to be exposed to a well-rounded, diverse, involved education, that you send them elsewhere.

  • I am a recent graduate, and I attended WB for the entirety of my high school career. I am now in college, and I have found that some of my classes did prepare me well. However, this does not substitute for factors such as the lack of diverse extracurricular opportunities and, most gratingly, the ignorance, bureaucracy, and inappropriate social dynamics of the administration. As well - I second the comments that many of the faculty tend to be extremely classist. I must say, though, the fancy faux-turf on the football field is quite attractive.

My advice to any current student: skip school as much as possible, so as to cultivate your intellect elsewhere.

  • It is strange to see all the changes at Western Brown...new school....addidtion to the old high school. I know it has been a while but Western was always a great school. My family was far from "wealthy" and I was never treated differently. My memories from Western Brown always make me smile. Grow up. Make the right choices and things will change!
