Because of my work, I have to move around and this being said my kids have attended several schools. I hate to say it but glenpool is probably the nastiest school my children have ever attended. Last year the first day of school i was walking my son to class and urine, feces and toilet paper was floating out of the bathroom. And there were teachers right across from it letting children enter the restroom. I thought i was going to be sick, i told one kid, don't go in there go to another restroom. complete filth. And as far as homework goes, its always the parents fault, or the kids, it never has anything to do with the "teacher" explaining things to them. I cant even say how many kids i have had to help with their homework because they all say they don't understand or they just give it to them to do and don't even go over it half the time. And i have never heard so many kids saying their teachers are mean. my son is coming home saying he is getting screamed at, he has never come home saying a teacher screamed at him and tried to humiliate him in class. So tomorrow I will be taking care of some business! It just seems that this school is so poverty stricken with their trailers as classrooms and air conditioners breaking down every other month. I have never heard of a place that had so many problems. I cant wait to get employment elsewhere and get my babies out of this dump! Oh and one more happening took place, it was last year and the kids last day and getting their diplomas for fifth graders. Well i go to leave after it was over, and went through the side door stepped in rubbed my feet off on the mat, and then stepped and landed on my back, here is the issue, i had just went through 2 back surgeries it wasn't even 3 months since the second surgery and of course no signs out saying we never clean our floors so good luck! nothing. I spoke to the principal about it and well all she could say was someone must have moved the sign, THERE WAS NO SIGN@! I hurried home to lay down before i passed out from the pain, called my doctor and got in as soon as i could to help the pain and make sure serious damage hadn't occurred so several $1,000 later, never even got an honest apology, and i even mentioned it again this year same story well someone must have moved it. I LOOKED THERE WASN'T ONE ANYWHERE!

Not only did I graduate from Glenpool; I am also enrolling my daughter to attend kindergarten there this fall. I like that the classrooms aren't overcrowded, and the student to teacher ratio is significantly lower than Tulsa Public Schools. Glenpool has a great athletics program that offers boys and girls a variety of different sports to play. I like the small town feel, and the fact that education is more personal. Glenpool has many enthusiastic and caring teachers that are passionate about what they do. Regardless of what the first review states, Glenpool schools are, and have always been kept clean and sanitary. Also, most of the school's facilities are relatively new and constantly expanding to accommodate each year's increase of students. I gave Glenpool Schools a B- because I feel that students are not always adequately prepared for college, and some students that aren't sure are sometimes ill-advised to attend vocational school. In all, Glenpool does a great job at molding children into good students.
