  • As a student, I have some disagreements with the way things are done at burton, but all-in-all, its a good school. The classes are small enough for students to have 1 on 1 time with the teacher to get the help he/she needs. And unlike big schools, the teachers can see when a certain student is not understanding what the class is going over, just by looking at the expression on their face or a change in their posture. The teacher can tell the student is confused and will either: A) go over the topic again. Or B) Talk to the student and find out what they don't understand, then go over with them individually until they understand. And the teachers are very thorough in their explanations so that the student understands what the teacher is telling them. Burton aslo has a pleasant feel about it. It's just a small town school where everybody knows everyone. We have (as far as I know) never had anything major happen at school. ie: gun found, kid shot/stabbed, hit list found. Everyone gets along (for the most part) and its pleasant.
