  • This entry is certainly dated, but I hope that Murray High is as good for teachers and students as it was a few years ago. For the early 1960's it is difficult to imagine a better school anywhere than Murray High School. The staff was well above average to exceptional. The students were extremely friendly, well-educated, and made life worthwhile. Every day was a new adventure. Wish I could do it over again. And I wasn't even in the in-crowd.
As with most things though, you'll get out what you put into it. Enjoy your classmates
    and teachers. Be friends with
as many as you can. You'll be
    happier in the future.

  • In regards to the teaching staff at Murray High, I was pretty impressed. They seemed to care and in many cases, had creative and affective ways to help the students to understand the lessons. I am, however, still bitter about the administrative staff. I was told that I would be able to graduate even though I would be missing most days during the school year due to a competitive sport that wasn't part of the school's program if I maintained a high enough GPA. I did graduate with a 3.3-ish GPA but wasn't allowed to even graduate from Murray High. I had to get my diploma from an "alternative school." Parents beware, if the vice-principal and principal are the same as they were in 2000 and your son/daughter will be in a similar situation, find another school. Otherwise, it's a good school.

  • If you didn't grow up with every body and go to the same church , and have money. You didn't fit in. The teachers had favorites and all the kids were stuck up.

  • This is a great school and I'm happy to go here.
