  • Teachers rude.
    Street language used in class.
You should see (...) taking care of traffic.
Screaming at children is often not effective.
In my understanding if you hate your job so much, should look for something else.

  • I use to be a former student and would like to say thank you to my choir teacher Mrs. Palmer. Out of all the teachers at the school, she is the only teacher that stuck in my memory. I do not know if she still works here. I am now living in Illinois, but I still want to thank her for the great experience I was given. I was a student here in 2005.

  • It has a wonderful gifted and highly gifted program. If your child is not gifted, then I suggest private school or they will be merged in with the bussed-in rift raft.

  • I really enjoy Portola. As a 7th grader there, I feel that the some of the friends I make now will continue to be my friends throughout my whole life. My teachers are fantastic, and try the best of their ability to give me the best education possible. The school's many pros outway the school's few cons. The campus is clean and beautiful, the library is full of books, and the classrooms are not over crowded.

  • I love my school, pros and cons. Some of the teachers are a little strict, or give too much homework, but they are countered by awesome teachers like Mr. Leon and Mr. Aeen who everybody loves. Plus the campus is beautiful, our library is well-stocked, and it is overall an excellent learning enviroment.
