  • There's poor coordination between the morning and afternoon staff. If one asks a question the teachers' stock answer is, "I don't know I wasn't here". Sanitation falls apart after the infant program (there are strict rules regarding infant changing in New Jersey). While the advertisement for this school is all warm and fuzzy, in reality, the environment and practice is not. Warm and fuzzy are at individual discretion, meaning it depends on the teacher and depends on their mood. There have not been discussions about discipline, so each "teacher" has their own way of dealing with children, from grabbing children roughly to shouting to threatening. My child has had bruises on both of her hips from the rough way she was held. While the intent was not to harm, there was certainly no thought of being gentle either. Education is certainly not a priority. Their idea of a fun activity is to drive children to Dunkin Donuts and buy them a treat. These "fun" ideas come about in the absence of any schedule or curriculum or well thought-out philosophy. While putting a philosophy into practice may not succeed, I think any coordinated effort, however feeble, would be better than their "free play".
