  • After reading the previous reviews I have to wonder if we are talking about the same school. I have three children who attend Dennison Elementary and I have had a completely different experience at this school. At any school funtion I have attended, the principal has always been there and been very supportive. Whenever I have had an issue and have spoken to the principal or a teacher, I feel I was listened to and given reponses and actions that delt with the situations. My children have enjoyed their teachers which all bring a different learning style based on their personalities. No school is perfect and with the element of many children's temperment we have run into some issues with other children. We inform the teachers and they have worked with us to try and correct these things. Parents are very involved in Dennison which helps make this a successful school. Teachers are willing to meet with you and the specials classes of art, gym and music are an added bonus. This school wants the kids to work hard at their studies, and as the grades increase so does the homework load. This school is not for everyone, but it is a good fit for my children.

  • The teachers here do an exceptionally wonderful job but i am very displeased with the principals way of managing "her school" the students are either having their parents giving money to the school or directly to her to earn respect or even survive at that school otherwise it is unbearable to even wake up in the morning knowing that you will be going to that school for 6 hours. The principal is completely moved by bribery and it is unacceptable. The students are bullies and no one does anything about it because their parents are major sponsors of this school and that means the less successful families have their children ignored by the principals and do not have their voices heard which means it is more likely they will be bullied and picked on and then being just brushed off as if they are unimportant waste. It is as if the students are pin balls pushed and jumped around by the principle who seems to control them with just a push of a button and i for one do not want to be nor will be a pin ball, i will control my own destiny and not let the principals here does not seem to look after me or do her job.

  • The teachers here do an outstanding job, but the administration here including the principal is clueless and immature about how to treat children and adults based on bribery and past history. All i can see them do is pat themselves on the backs when they crush a child's dream as they do every day. It is not healthy for a child's personal health to go to this school and it can result in depression in a child's attitude if they continue to go to Dennison Elementary.
