  • Louis Sheffield is a FABULOUS school! Both of my children have attended this school and over the past 5 years I can say that the majority of the teachers and staff (85%) are perfect at what they are doing. This school is very positive and an extremely happy bright place to be!
The only problem I have had is that some of the teachers and staff do not speak proper English. Yes I mean they speak ghetto attitude. I know we live in Jacksonville but I have been to other large cities and know that if you are going to be a teacher you should be a good example of your profession and practice exemplary behavior. Good teachers are hard to come by but I believe in pay for performance! If you do a good job you should be rewarded, if you are only doing enough to stay on the payroll you are in the wrong profession! Trust me when I say that if you have a problem with any of the teachers, the administration will hear you and act on your complaints.
It is important for parents to not let proper education become lax. Please stand up for higher expectations or our school system here in Duval county will continue to diminish.
